At Jambooks we LOVE weddings and are thrilled you’d let us be a part of your day. Here’s a How To sheet for your wedding jambook process.
The first thing to do it to sign up at www.jambooks.com and click CREATE and then select WEDDING under Special Event. When it asks the name, don’t worry you won’t see that anywhere printed so don’t waste brain juice naming your book. For the date, pick about two days before the wedding and close it on the wedding date. Don’t worry, you and guests can still reply late if you need to.
When setting up prompts I believe less is much better. Your friends and family don’t want to be answering a million texts while they wait in line or at the table. They want to have fun. However many you choose, choose that many to come in a day when it asks for the FREQUENCY so they all come the same day.
Okay now it’s time to check out! Once you’ve paid for your book, you’ll get a text with a link to Jambooks. Click on the link and choose PROMPTS to edit them. I suggest two prompts max and have them both come two days before the wedding. This way you’ll see how it looks and can make any needed changes. Those who join the Jam at the wedding will get both prompts, one right after one another.
Some prompt ideas:
1-What advise do you have for the couple?
2-Share a pic from the wedding day. Include your names and anything else you want to say in the same text as the picture. Sending pictures one at a time makes for more beautiful books.
3-What memories do you have with (names of couple)? Include a picture.
Once prompts are set up move on to getting the invite ready. Notice the text you got, it will be from the number you are going to be using to create the book. Take that number and create your qr code for the invites to join the Jam! Here’s how:
This is the QR code generator site I like most.
https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com
You’ll choose SMS across the top and put the number Jambooks assigns you in the SMS box and the word JAM in the Message box. Download the code and test it with your phone. If it works, put that in a flier saying something to the effect of.
Thank you for coming tonight, please help the couple remember this special day by contributing to their wedding book. Text JAM to (the number that will be provided once you sign up at www.jambooks.com) and follow the prompts.
Heads up ***Some people don’t read the instructions so they don’t read that they then need to reply YES that they agree to receive texts from Jambooks.
Now your loved ones answer the question or two that come. You sit back and enjoy the night.
Once the wedding is over you can login to see responses. Go to the JAMS page and click on Edit Book. My advise is to not edit the book. Simply preview it and order it. But it’s up to you. Editing can stop the book from ever getting printed and who cares if there’s a couple of typos or duplicate photos.
That’s it. Any questions? Help.jambooks.com. I got you and congratulations!!!! Wendy and the Jambooks team!
